Nepalis
Most Nepalese come to Macao for work. They are introduced to Macao through agencies and work as security guards, some also work in restaurants.
大多數尼泊爾人是因為工作來到澳門，他們通過中介公司介紹來到澳門，從事保安工作。還有一些在餐廳打工。
Community & Place
The majority of Nepalese in Macao live in Rotunda de Carlos da Maia, Nam Van, and Fai Chi Kei. Because of their small population (According to the 4th quarterly demographic statistics report from DSEC, there are about 3,500 Nepalis live in Macao), they do not form a community. During festivals, they choose Hac Sa Beach as their gathering place.
在澳門的尼泊爾人大多租住在澳門半島，在三盞燈、南灣、筷子基都有分布。在澳尼泊爾人大約有3500 (外地僱員)由於人口較少，並未形成聚居族群。在節日裡，他們會選擇黑沙海灘作為聚會地點。
Custom & Language
At work, most Nepalese speak English, but they also learn some Cantonese. For communication with colleagues, they use their own language, Nepali. Most Nepalese living in Macao choose Chinese food as their food, someone also cooks by themselves. During special celebrations, such as the Holi festival, they gather in Hac Sa and enjoy Nepalese food or BBQ. Although it is not as big a celebration as back home, they also celebrate it.
在工作中，大多數的尼泊爾人會採用英語，他們還會學習一些粵語。與同事的交流之中，他們會使用本族語言尼泊爾語。在澳門生活的尼泊爾人通常會選擇中餐作為他們的食物，一些人也會自己煮家鄉的美食。在特殊的慶典，比如Holi festival, 他們會在黑沙聚集在一起，雖然沒有在家鄉那麼盛大的慶典，他們也會進行慶祝活動
Significance
Most of the Nepalis in Macao are engaged in security work, which has a significant responsibility in contributing to the social stability and safety of residents.
在澳尼泊爾人大多從事保安工作，為澳門社會穩定、居民安全做出重要貢獻。
Risk & Protection
Although Nepali could live well in Macao, they miss their hometown. However, many Nepalese can only talk to their families via phone calls because of the pandemic. There was a degree of discrimination against Nepalis in 2021 due to some Nepalese security guards testing positive for Covid-19, but interviewees indicated that at other times Macau residents were friendly to the Nepalese community.
雖然在澳門的生活很好，他們也會想念家鄉。但是因為疫情的緣故，許多尼泊爾人只能通過手機和家人通話。在2022年由於一些尼泊爾籍保安在核酸檢測結果中為陽性，在那段時間尼泊爾族裔受到了一定程度上的歧視，但受訪者表明，在其他的時候澳門居民對尼泊爾族群是友好的。
