Ka Ho Village
The Ká Hó Village is located in the Northeast of Coloane, Macao. It was established two centuries ago mainly by Hakkas from Mainland China. Currently, most of the original villagers are still Hakkas. The main families in Ká Hó Village are the Chungs, Cheungs, Hos and Ngs, unlike many the traditional Chinese villages, the Ká Hó Village residents are connected by their language, Hakka, instead of the blood relationship. The development history of the Ká Hó Village proves that individual relationships could be kept or even strengthened by using the same language.
