Rua da Alfândega
From 2003, many Filipino-style shops selling Filipino food, snacks or other goods for daily uses were opened one after another by Macao’s Filipino residents living at the Rua da Alfândega. With more and more Filipino immigrants were attracted to settle at this street, the street started to be called ‘Tiny Philippine’. Nowadays, on every Sunday, Macao’s Catholic Filipino residents who living in this area will go to the Sé and St. Augustine’s Church to have mess together, and then they will go to a snack bar on the Rua da Alfândega for eating and gathering.
